Emergency declaration report
Ishigaki City declares its own state of emergency. “Stay at home” from the 1st to the 15th, and elementary and junior high schools in the city are temporarily closed.
On the 31st, Ishigaki City in Okinawa issued its own emergency declaration due to the COVID-19 pandemic. They requested that all citizens stay at home strongly for two weeks from June 1 to June 15, regardless of whether or not they have symptoms.
This morning’s newspaper stated that Ishigaki-gyu MARU was planning to operate within the shortened business hours and without selling alcoholic beverages, but due to the city’s emergency declaration, they have decided to temporarily close from June 1st to June 15th.
We apologize for the inconvenience caused to customers who had made reservations, and we are currently contacting them to inform them of the closure from June 1st to June 15th.
We have been fighting against COVID-19 for over a year and three months, and while there have been some improvements in the situation and restrictions have been lifted, there has also been an increase in the number of infected cases again.
We do not expect the virus to completely disappear by June 16th, but we sincerely hope that we can resume business while balancing health and the economy.
Although the current situation is tough, we plan to reopen from June 15th, and we look forward to receiving reservations after that.
We anticipate that it may be difficult to contact us by phone during the closure period, so we encourage customers who wish to visit us to make use of the convenient LINE reservation @ishigakigyumaru.
We will be available 24/7 during the closure period. Thank you for your cooperation.
